研究背景/选题意义/研究价值

From the last few decades, a lot ofefforts were devoted to develop the new environmental friendly energy sourcesto control the energy and environmental issues. In this respect, fuel cellsalso got a central magnetism from last few decades.

But here are some issue such theirefficiency in term of price, activity and their durability. To overcome theseproblems more cheap metals were mixed with Pt to develop the alloy nanoparticles ,especially the alloy ultrathin nanostructures.

主要研究内容

Herefor the first time we prepared ultra-thin Pt-Cu alloy nanosheets withcontrollable sizes and thickness which finally reached to one atom thick. Forthis purpose a new two step method were developed which is further extended to prepare other small sizednanostructures. like nanocones, sandwich, dimers and nanoframes. Dueto the exposed surface area and synergetic effect these showed highcatalytically activity in fuel cells. We believe, this method andnanostructures will be used in future.
